Gluten is a protein that is part of cereals such as wheat, barley, rye or oats. Those people who are intolerant to gluten are known as celiac and the intake of this protein can cause health problems such as loss of appetite, vomiting. Diarrhea and indigestion. That is why they must have a specific diet and a series of foods that do not contain gluten. Take note of those foods that contain gluten and that you should avoid at all costs.
Gluten-containing foods
As I have told you before, gluten is found in all cereals (wheat, rye and barley). The tricky part is avoiding wheat since it is part of many of the foods that are normally used at mealtimes. That is why you should avoid all types of flour such as: white flour, graham flour, kaput wheat, spelt, wheat germ or wheat bran.
Other foods that are made with wheat and you should avoid eating are: Pasta, Couscous, Bread, Flour Tortillas, Cookies, Muffins, Bread Rolls, Cupcakes, Cereals, Whole Grain Crackers and Oatmeal Beers.
Although the list of foods is very long, you should not worry because today you can find almost any food that you fancy without any gluten.
Finally, there are a number of foods that contain some gluten, believe it or not: soup stocks, breadcrumbs, fried foods, hot dogs, French fries and candy.
